luxury at heath lodge

Met by lovely Trish. Absolutely beautiful place to stay. Decoration well thought out and views wonderful. Trish has gone the extra mile though with all the personal touches. Bottle of wine , clotted cream and mince pies, xmas crackers etc. Her husband John is just as lovely. Nothing is too much trouble. We both feel they are friends. We will be booking again and have already recommended it to our friends.

Thank you Trish and John for letting us stay in your fabulous home.

HEATH LODGE -Our second stay

What can we say more, than what we stated in our last review. What a fabulous place HEAT LODGE is, with views and hosts to match. The home is immaculate as it has been for us in the past. You cannot improve on perfection, we say. The home is a credit to you both, John and Patricia.The views across the harbour and the bay are just stunning, both by day and especially by night. You can never get board with them. There is every thing you need within the home, and again local knowledge from John and Patricia was to hand regarding places of interest to visit. We were greeted by Patricia, and welcomed to HEATH LODGE for our second visit. There were fresh flowers and chilled wine waiting for us and a fresh cream cake. Thank you for that, John and Patricia. The place was spotless, which is a credit to all involved in the maintaining and up keep of the property. The whole property is as stated, very well equipped for your stay at HEATH LODGE. There are plenty of bars, and local restaurants in Brixham, as well as well stocked stores for fresh produce. All we can say is that HEATH LODGE is so good, this was our second visit, and we would have no good reason not to return for a third time next year. Thank you again to both of you, John and Patricia for a memorable and welcome stay at HEATH LODGE.

Thank you both for taking the time and trouble to write another amazing review. It is especially important to me that guests returning to Heath Lodge have the same experience as the very first time they holidayed at Heath Lodge. Heath Lodge is in a fantastic position above the marina, bay and harbour but , as far as I am concerned, that is not enough. The accommodation has to be nicely furnished and equipped and have a 'wow' factor ,We do work hard to make everything lovely for our guests because a good memory of a holiday keeps us going until the next one !! I appreciate your very kind comments Dave and Jane and John and I look forward to seeing you both again, hopefully, in 2016

Simply the Best!

Over the past four years we have been walking sections of the South West Coast Path.

During this time we have stayed in many types of accommodation between Minehead and Dartmouth, most properties have been good but two did not live up to the description and were very disappointing.

During 2014 we were searching online for accommodation in the Torbay area for a walking holiday in 2015 - something a bit special to make up for our previous disappointments.

We looked at many properties in the area but found nothing that really impressed us until we found a listing for Heath Lodge.

The owners description and photographs were excellent as were all reviews that have been left by their previous guests.

It all seemed to good to be true, had we finally found what we were looking for! Five Gold Awards can't be wrong, so we decided to make a booking for one week.

The owners excellent communications made the booking procedure very quick & easy.

On arrival several months later we were welcomed by Patricia who showed us around and explained all we needed to know regarding the property etc.

Heath Lodge is immaculate inside and out, everything was so clean, the furniture is very comfortable, this is a very quiet, warm & cosy place to stay with stunning views Morning, Noon & Night across Torbay. (see also all other reviews)

We were not disappointed it is "BETTER THAN ALL THE REST"

Being close to the SWCP we had no need to use our car as the public transport in the area is superb, giving easy access to various destinations via bus, boat & or train to Dartmouth, Totnes, Kingswear, Paighton, Torquay, Babbercombe, Teignmouth, & Exmouth etc.

Patricia & John you were superb hosts, thanks for the flowers, wine & provisions which were so unexpected.

As you know we have decided to return next year and look forward to seeing you both again.

Please pass on our thanks to Sue for preparing everything for our stay, all her efforts were very much appreciated.

Best holiday house ever!

A fantastic house, exactly like the photographs , if not better! Immaculately clean and tidy. The owners were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble and the views were breath taking. I would recommend this property without a doubt. Thank you both for a lovely week.

Exceeding expectations

By comparison to previous holiday properties which did not always live up-to the description/photographs Heath Lodge could not be more different ..it not only lived up-to expectations it far exceeded them.

What a house! Where to start? The amazing views, the stunning light, airy comfortable interior, the superb cleanliness, the welcome goodies.....

A magical holiday, and I cannot imagine this house being surpassed. We would love to return in the future.

We always try to maintain the standard at Heath Lodge so that every guest arriving has a lovely experience and i think that although there is so much to do and see in Brixham/ Torbay and surrounding area it can be good just to relax, watch the trawlers bringing home their catch and watch the amazing sunsets. As every other reviewer has stated Heath lodge is an amazing house to stay in. It's extremely comfortable and immaculately clean. With the best views in Brixham.

But better than all that is living next door to John & Tricia for a week! Tricia made us all feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble and we always loved seeing John and hearing his story's! Very entertaining! They really made our holiday.

We wouldn't stay anywhere else in brixham now we have found this place. Hopefully if they have us back we would love to stay here again.
